Justin earned his MFA at the University of California, Irvine. He teaches composition, creative writing, and publishing at Portland Community College and Lane Community College. From 2020-2025, he directed the Carolyn Moore Writing Residency and he currently serves as the Poetry Coordinator for Chatter PDX. He is the author and illustrator of children’s literature and his poems have been published or are forthcoming in American Poetry Review, Ploughshares, New Ohio Review, The Threepenny Review, and Best New Poets 2025.
